ABOUT COMPANY

As regards machine made carpets, its production has been started comparatively later, a namely in 1971, when "Ulaanbaatar carpet" factory was put into operation. There are currently 120 employees and production capacity of 80,000 m2 per year. The main types of machine-made carpets of the company are 100% pure woolen Altanbulag, Ulaanbaatar, Sayan, Altan-Urgoo and they differ in pile height and weave density.

EXPORT PRODUCT

The company currently produces 3 local brands of carpets: Altanbulag, Altan Urguu and Ulaanbaatar. The company’s main customers are: (i) state agencies, (ii) business companies, (iii) private customers, and (iv) foreign markets. About 40% of total sales originate from export. Ulaanbaatar Carpet exports its carpets to China, Russia and Kazakhstan. About 90% of total exports go to China market. The main export product of the company is “Altanbulag” brand (its 30-40% is exported to China).
