Tsolmandakh Munkhuu lived in Mongolia till 2005, she moved to France to study at the Atelier Chardon Savard. Five years later she won the Audience Award at the Hyères International Fashion and Photography Festival. After these achievements, she founded her own brand. Her various projects are still connected to her homeland, Mongolia. She continuously gets inspired by traditional elements from the mongolian and buddhist culture. Embroidery, paintings, re-use of recovered materials, and the use of ample volumes contrast are combined in her creations.

There really is no brand quite like Tsolo Munkh. The intricate, unique use of wool and leather is truly outstanding. Details of her homeland, Mongolia, are present on every piece. There are a few men’s pieces that are extremely appealing, as they could easily be unisex. Long, braided stripes of leather hang from many pieces. Strategically placed zippers combined with the leather adds a very grunge, dark feel that is typically “Munkh”. Primordial Experiments introduces a new kind of wool after being wet and folded. This collection is full of textile details and cuts that need not be missed.
